A Limited Use Smart Account is a simplified version of a standard Customer Smart Account, designed for customers without a corporate email domain. It enables quick activation and registration of Smart license-enabled products while offering a centralized platform to manage licenses and devices. Virtual Accounts for Limited Use Smart Accounts

Smart Accounts are organized using Virtual Accounts. When you create a Limited Use Smart Account, a default Virtual Account is automatically generated. You can add up to two additional Virtual Accounts to organize your licenses based on criteria such as department, location, or project. Think of the Limited Use Smart Account as a main folder and each Virtual Account as a subfolder, designed to fit your business needs.

What’s the difference between a Limited Use Smart Account and a Standard Customer Smart Account?

If your business moves from using a public email domain to a company email domain, you may request to upgrade your Limited Use Smart Account to a standard Customer Smart Account. Account upgrades may be requested in Cisco Software Central.
